All Of It
I’ve never quite fit in. I’ve never been what I was supposed to be. Or belonged in any of the boxes other people tried to put me in. For most of my life, that was the root of my imposter syndrome - what exacerbated my fear of abandonment and my relentless desire to please others and be “perfect”.
And then I finally realized at the age of 40, that I was never going to fit into any box. That my career would never fit into a neat category and my opinions wouldn't conform to others' expectations for simple, binary choices. My magic - was that I was all of it.
I am Iranian, Kurdish, Jewish, American, an immigrant, a voter, a mother, a daughter, a sister. I’m a lawyer, an agent, a brand builder, a marketer, an activist, organizer, political advisor, investor, podcaster, producer, chef, aspiring gardener. I love fashion, interiors, hosting, and I try to hold the center between political extremes. Creative and strategic, obsessed with fonts and fabrics. I’m optimistic, hopeful, spiritual, curious, and I value integrity above all. Nothing makes me happier than being at the table with loved ones. My family (and dog!) are my whole universe.
I’ve waited a year to write my first post in this newsletter. I felt pushed to pick a lane—to carve out a single part of myself, to fit into a box once again. To make my thoughts and interests smaller, simpler.
But here—with you—I want to be all of it. All of me.
I want this space to be different. I want it to be a place where you can bring your whole self—your joys, your struggles, your contradictions, your dreams.
Where we embrace the gray, the messy, the complex.
Where we refuse to be confined by labels or expectations.
Join me. Let’s explore what it means to be “all of it.” To ask questions, challenge assumptions, and break free from the boxes that don’t serve us.
So, I invite you—be here with me. Let’s explore, learn, laugh, and grow—all of it. Thank you for being part of this.

Curiosity has always been my compass. It’s driven all my career shifts and advocacy - and I am never afraid to ask the most basic and human questions. To show that we don’t know and arrive with empathy. Each newsletter, I will dive into a topic or question that I want to learn more about.
I am deeply curious and have fostered learning as a means to build community. I organize events to bring people together, ask questions, challenge our beliefs and prejudices - so we can grow together. I lead all my conversations with vulnerability and deep honesty about my personal trauma, mistakes, and insecurities.
Over the last 6 months, my videos have gained exponential virality and the common message I receive from others is their gratitude for the integrity, honesty, and compassion in which I show up. None of my messages are ever meant to alienate or shame - but to hold us accountable to doing what is good. Especially when it’s hard.
